Our Mission

The Teachers, Students, Parents and Community Working Together for a Bright Future.mission of the Vineland Public Schools is based upon the conviction that all students can learn. This is based upon their exposure to curriculum and instruction that addresses the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards (NJCCCS) at all grade levels. We recognize that learning is the result of a strong partnership of parents, teachers and the community, as students are challenged to become active participants in the quest for excellence.

Our goal is to ensure a safe, creative, stimulating and caring environment which promotes self-esteem, sound character, responsibility and respect for diversity. This will enable students to become knowledgeable, skillful, life-long learners who are contributing citizens in our changing society.

We expect the best from our students and will give no less of ourselves.

Parents of students new to Vineland Public Schools urged to register soon

Parents of students new to Vineland Public Schools in September are urged to make an appointment to register their child as soon as possible to avoid delays that could prevent the child from starting school on the first day of classes. For new high school students, delays could also limit choices of the district’s new Small Learning Communities initiative as individual communities fill up. Read more

Equal Opportunity/Non-Discrimination

The Vineland School District has adopted policies which guarantee that all students shall have equal educational opportunity regardless of race, color, creed, religion, sex, disability, national origin, social/economic status or sexual orientation and that all students are entitled to learn in an environment free from discrimination and harassment. Any student who alleges that there has been an incident of discrimination/harassment should report the allegation in writing to the Affirmative Action Officer/Title IX Coordinator: Dr. Keith C. Figgs, Assistant Superintendent, 625 Plum Street, Vineland, NJ 08360. The district policies are available online or at each school.

What is Title IX? Title IX was the first comprehensive federal law to prohibit sex discrimination against students and employees of educational institutions. The law requires educational institutions to maintain policies, practices and programs that do not discriminate against anyone based on sex. Under this law, males and females are expected to receive fair and equal treatment in all arenas of public schooling: recruitment, admissions, educational programs and activities, course offerings and access, counseling, financial aid, employment assistance, facilities and housing, health and insurance benefits, marital and parental status, scholarships, sexual harassment, and athletics. For additional information, contact: Dr. Keith Figgs, Title IX Coordinator, Vineland Public Schools, 625 Plum Street, Vineland, NJ 08360, Phone: (856)794-6700, Ext. 2008.
