The Department of Safety and Security is dedicated to ensuring a safe, secure, disruptive-free learning environment for all who attend Vineland Public Schools.

The Board of Education believes that each student should be treated as an individual, responsible for his/her own behavior. The District’s Discipline Policy recognizes the need for the orderly conduct of the schools, and will guide students with a few sensible rules of conduct, focusing on safety and respect for the rights and property of others.
Students who cannot accept this responsibility and violate school rules will be required to accept the penalties and more regulated supervision. Disciplinary action, when necessary, will be firm, fair, progressive and consistent in order to be most effective in changing behavior. There is also a policy on harassment, intimidation and bullying.
