Twelve Vineland High School seniors will vie for the title of Mr. Vineland 2024 when the annual pageant is held on Thursday, Jan. 11, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of VHS South.
Tickets for the contest are $5 and can be purchased from contestants or at the door. Calendars of the contestants will be sold both prior to the show and at the door for $5.
Funds raised at the event help defray the cost of the senior prom. Mr. Vineland receives a crown, trophy and the right to wear the Mr. Vineland sash.
The new Mr. Vineland will be chosen from a field of five finalists. Each contestant will be scored equally in the following areas: casual attire, talent, and formal attire. The finalists will then answer a final question.
The 12 contestants were selected by female members of the senior class.
The finalists are:
Mr. January - Rahsaun Jeffrey
Rahsaun’s hobbies include running, community service, and working out. After graduation, he plans to attend a four-year college and then go to law school and become a lawyer.
Mr. February - Anthony Gonzalez
Anthony’s hobbies include playing drums, working out, and playing baseball. After graduation, he plans to enlist in the United State Air Force.
Mr. March - Jeremy Flores
Jeremy’s hobbies include dancing, singing, and playing the saxophone. Following graduation, he plans to join the Air National Guard and then go to school for music education and performance.
Mr. April - Prit Patel
Prit’s hobbies include MMA, going to the gym, and attending flight school. Following graduation, he plans to continue to attend flight school and attend RCSJ for two years. Long-term goals include becoming a pilot and flying to different parts of the world.
Mr. May - Zakher Armstrong
Zakher’s hobbies include working, hanging out with friends, and playing basketball. After graduation, he is “trying to be rich like (jeweler) Johnny Dang.”
Mr. June - Christian Alvarado
Christian’s hobbies include listening to music, performing color guard, and spending time with his two cats. After graduation, he plans to live in a city and attend a university to major in physics and become an astrophysicist while continuing to refine his skills in the color guard.
Mr. July - Collin Graiff
Collin’s hobbies include football, working out, and listening to 80’s rock music. Following graduation, he plans to attend college to major in nutritional science and play college football.
Mr. August - Conor J. DiRocco
Conor’s hobbies include listening to and playing music, playing with his dog Riley, and volleyball. Following graduation, he would like to be an actor and start in movies and TV shows.
Mr. September - Pedro Noguez Perez
Pedro’s hobbies include music, gaming, tech, bike riding, and being available to hang. After graduation, he plans to figure himself out, get a life plan, and keep moving forward.
Mr. October - Joseph Ansara
Joseph’s hobbies include hanging out with friends, playing video games, and enjoying the outdoors. Following graduation, he plans to attend RCSJ/Rowan University to get a degree in psychology and possibly work in therapy/psychology, the medical field, or enlist in the military.
Mr. November -Trey Rosas
Trey’s hobbies include playing piano, composing music, and running. Following graduation, he plans to study at Rowan University and major in Musical Performance or Composition.
Mr. December - Yoan Feliz
Yoan’s hobbies include playing baseball. Following graduation, he plans to continue his athletic and academic career at Felician University with a major in education.
The program will be videotaped by VPS Broadcasting and shared on our YouTube Channel, VLDSchoolsTV, at a later date.
