Dear Vineland Public Schools Community,

As a precaution, Vineland High School implemented a shelter-in-place protocol on Monday from 7:50 am to 9:25 am, prompted by information received from the Vineland Police Department, originating from social media posts.

Following a thorough investigation by the Vineland Police Department, the shelter-in-place was lifted, and regular school activities resumed seamlessly.

Please be assured that the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our utmost priority. The Vineland Police Department continues its active investigation into the matter on Tuesday, and its presence on-site today is an additional measure to ensure the ongoing safety of our school community.

We urge you to avoid spreading false or misleading information, as it only contributes to unnecessary anxiety. If you have any information regarding the validity or source of these threats, please either contact the Vineland Police Department at 856-691-4111 ext. 4190, send an email to vpdjuvenile@vinelandcity.org or you can submit an anonymous tip to VPD.TIPS from any smart device. We will continue to keep you informed as we work closely with the police to address any concerns.

Your cooperation and understanding during this time are sincerely appreciated. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to the school administration. We are here to support you and ensure a safe and nurturing environment for our students.

Sincerely,

Alfonso Q. Llano, Superintendent
