The service project for March at Rossi Elementary was in support of Type 1 Diabetes research and finding a cure. A service project that is near and dear to the hearts of many Rossi students and staff. During the month Rossi students learned facts about the life of someone who lives with t
ype 1 diabetes. They learned about diabetes through facts shared during the morning announcements and listening to read-alouds about this disease. All month long the students, staff, and families of Rossi donated spare change and raised money with a service project dress down day. The Rossi Owls did such an amazing job of showing their support, they raised a total of $1080. All proceeds are being donated to the Junior Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) to aid in their research to find a cure and help those who are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Way to go Rossi Owls!!!
Eye Protection: It is extremely important to use certified solar viewing glasses or appropriate solar filters at all times to avoid permanent eye damage. Please send your child with appropriate eye wear for this event.
