Our Staff Spotlight this week is kindergarten teacher, Ms. Dawn Rado! Ms. Rado has worked in Vineland for 25 years! Beginning her career at Johnstone as a 3/7ths teacher, Ms. Rado continued at Johnstone for the following 20 years of her career as a first grade teacher. She came to Rossi five years ago, first as a basic skills teacher and then making the move down to D-wing as a kindergarten extraordinaire.
Ms. Rado says her favorite part about Rossi is the support that administration and her colleagues are always willing to give to help each other. “If I need guidance or have a question”, she says, “there are so many people to reach out to for help.” Ms. Rado also loves being there to listen to as well as be a voice for her students. She believes students need to know their teachers genuinely care about them, first. Ms. Rado teaches her students to be kind and empathetic to one another.
Ms. Rado has two new puppies named Bebe and Tanner. She also has a cat named Mila. Ms. Rado loves to watch the Yankees and the Eagles on the weekends. In her spare time during the summer, she enjoys the beach and going to country music concerts.
Ms. Rado adds, “I am so lucky to be surrounded by a great family and so many wonderful friends. Many of my friends worked with me at Johnstone and still do at Rossi. I also have made many new friends in my 5 years here.” We are equally lucky to have Ms. Rado on our team at Rossi. Her kindness, dedication, and passion are appreciated by everyone at our fine school. Be sure to say “hi!” next time you see Ms. Rado!

Congrats to this weeks "Caught Being Good" winners 🎉🎄
Our Staff Spotlight this week is fourth grade teacher Ms. Jennifer Trivellini! Ms. Trivellini began her career in Vineland back in 2001. She started at Winslow School as a 3rd grade teacher, later moved on to Max Leuchter School as a collaborative teacher, then to Petway 4th grade in-class support for 12 years, before finally ending up at Rossi when it opened as an elementary school back in 2018.
Ms. Trivellini says her favorite part about Rossi is how much fun we have. She adds, “The administrators recognize that students need to have fun in order to learn. We have so many events that celebrate that such as the Glow Party, Valentines Dance, Reading Challenge, and so much more.” She also noted our festive spirit at Rossi. “So many schools are getting away from celebrating the holidays but NOT our school,” she says.
A fun fact about Ms. Trivellini is that she LOVES to make spreadsheets for just about everything and anything. Ms. Trivellini also just learned how to oil paint and loves anything that has to do with art. She adds “I love playing softball and I love to coach. I enjoy golfing, pickleball and just about anything that has to do with sports.” Ms. Trivellini also loves the outdoors and going to the beach and traveling.
Ms. Trivellini will be getting married this school year, so next year her name will not be “Triv” anymore; it will be Mrs. Baruffi! Ms. Trivellini says, “I also love technology and I love helping people!”
Ms. Trivellini often refers to her students as “Team Triv” and she certainly plays the part as their coach, cheer leader, and #1 fan. She is exceptionally gifted in the arts and technology and often lends her talents in service to our school community. We are grateful for all she does to make our school the best it can be. Next time you see Ms. Triv, be sure to say “hi!”

A big Rossi Owl Congratulations to our 2024 Teacher and Educational Service Provider of the Year, Mrs. Christina Stanker and Mrs. Susanne Cileone!
Mrs. Stanker, K-2 self-contained special education teacher, has been teaching in Vineland Public Schools for 22 years. In the field of education, there are formal leaders such as supervisors and administrators and there are informal leaders–people in the field who step up and are sought after to provide mentorship, support, and guidance because of their years of experience, trusted credibility, and unparalleled dedication to the profession. Mrs. Stanker falls into the latter category. She is a leader to her colleagues, a safe haven to her students, and an honor to know and work with at Rossi Elementary School.
Mrs. Cileone, our social worker at Rossi, has been working in Vineland Public Schools for 21 years. Each day she demonstrates not only compassion and empathy (which is required of her field) but also an incredible work ethic and efficiency that is truly unparalleled. Mrs. Cileone doesn’t simply clock in and out each day; she looks at each day as an opportunity to reach, inspire, and counsel the youth of our school. Staff at Rossi seek her sage advice because it is always offered, backed by her years of experience and grounded in the best, most therapeutic practices.
The students and staff at Rossi are so lucky to have Mrs. Stanker and Mrs. Cileone in their corner. They strive to always make a difference in the lives of each student. Congratulations to both Mrs. Stanker and Mrs. Cileone, for this well-deserved honor of Teacher of the Year and Educational Service Provider of the Year 2024.

Rossi Elementary School Safety Patrol is excited to announce its annual Turkey and Ham Drive!
This year, we aim to collect as many turkeys and hams as possible to donate to families in need within the community. We understand that the holiday season can be a difficult time for some families, and we want to do our part to spread joy and provide assistance where we can. We encourage all students, parents, and faculty to donate what they can to help make this year's drive a success.
Let's come together as a community and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Thank you for your support!
