Yesterday 8th graders had their class trip to Main Event in Delaware and had a great time!

Congratulations to our own Kristen Periconi, a sixth grader who was chosen and honored yesterday as our Giraffe Hero for Pilla! A Giraffe Hero is known to "stick their neck out for others" and is nominated for having the following qualities:
Being courageous and seeking the common good.
Being a caring and big-hearted person.
Being helpful when a problem arises
Being persistent and pursuing a problem until a resolution is found.
Congratulations to Kristen! 🦒🩵💛

On Friday, 5/24, the Pilla PE 8th Grade Student Leader Club traveled to Sabater Elementary School again but this time it was to help run stations for their annual Field Day event for approximately 700 students. The Student Leaders organized and instructed students at multiple stations throughout the day. They also participated and encouraged the students along at various stations. They led them in games of Lone Survivor and also served snow cones to the students. They also helped them cool off at the sponge relay and bucket dump stations.
Our Student Leaders did an amazing job! The P.E. Dept. was so proud of them. So what better way to end the trip than with some pizza!
This trip was made possible by a collaborative effort between the Pilla and Sabater P.E. Depts.

On Wednesday evening, Pilla Middle School honored our students who achieved Principal's List (straight A's) all three marking periods this year at Pilla! Congratulations to all! https://bit.ly/PrincipalsDinner2024
