Eighth Grade math students in Mrs Quiles & Ms Franco’s classes closed their unit on Pythagorean Theorem with a circuit activity. Groups navigated the room to visit 10 stations applying use of the theorem to real life situations. The students were happy to move around and make mathematical arguments in their groups, while managing
a strict 3min time limit per station. This activity offered students a chance to relate their understanding of the hypotenuse to sports, distance, area, and perimeter.
Reminder: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week are legal attendance days with dismissal at 1:25pm. Schools are closed Friday and all next week for Spring Recess.
