Ms. Ecret's 8th Grade Class participated in empowered Schools: Students Generating Change (An Alliance to Save Energy Program). Through our Sustainability Unit and other lessons we discussed ways to save energy and protect our environment as well as better choices we can make for ourselves. Photos are from a couple of our culminating activities to conclude the program. The students put a lot of thought into these activities and had some insightful ideas. ****************** La clase de octavo grado de la Sra. A través de nuestra Unidad de Sostenibilidad y otras lecciones, discutimos formas de ahorrar energía y proteger nuestro medio ambiente, así como mejores decisiones que podemos tomar por nosotros mismos. The Wallace Wildcats will be having a super cool fundraiser which will start soon after the break. Students will buy a chance to be chosen to be Principal for the Day. More details will be out soon! Funds will be used to purchase a new Wally Wildcat Costume!

In recognition of World Down Syndrome Day, all Wallace Wildcats can dress down tomorrow 3/21, but must wear blue and yellow; blue jeans are okay!
En reconocimiento al Día Mundial del Síndrome de Down 21/3, todos los Wildcats pueden vestirse informalmente mañana, pero deben usar azul y amarillo, ¡los jeans azules están bien!
The Wallace Safety Patrol held a "Pi"e Day fundraiser to help with the cost of their upcoming trip to Washington, D.C. Each homeroom was tasked with the challenge of donating the most money. The homeroom that donated the most was invited to participate in a Pizza "Pi"e Party with the Safety Patrol and then "PIE" the Safety Patrol Members. This was a great way to get students throughout the building engaging with each other. All of the students had a great time....especially when it was time to "PIE" the Safety Patrol Members! We are all very appreciative of the school's efforts to help us raise money for our trip.
Shout out to Mr. K's class for raising the most money! We also want to acknowledge Mrs. Well's class for all of their fundraising efforts (they were only $9 behind Mr. K's class)!
