Gracias,
Ms. Rosado

Amazing Wallace School Familias,
Today, I had the incredible opportunity to accompany our 8th grade students on their visit to Vineland High School. We had approximately 258 students attend a very well-organized and executed presentation, and I am thrilled to share how wonderfully the day unfolded.
Upon arrival, our Wallace Wildcats were greeted by the Vineland High School Band, along with the warm hospitality of the VHS staff and students. Mr. Adams (Principal), Mr. Hall (Vice Principal), and Mr. Lapsley (Vice Principal) addressed our students, discussing the exciting changes for next year, including the introduction of the 9th Grade Academy.
During the visit, our Wallace Wildcats listened to members of various student groups, including AFJROTC, Choir, SGA, Senior Class Leaders, Theater, Dance, and many more. Additionally, guidance counselors and teachers spoke to our students about what to expect as they transition to high school.
As parents, we love to talk about our children and sing their praises. As the Principal of Thomas Wallace Middle School, I must take this moment to commend our fantastic 8th grade Wildcats. They displayed incredible behavior throughout the day. It all began when they were called to the auditorium. They quickly and orderly sat according to bus assignments without any issues. Even amidst changes to our schedule to accommodate lunches, our 8th grade Wildcats handled everything seamlessly.
Of course, this success could not have been achieved without our phenomenal Wallace staff. A heartfelt thank you goes out to:
- The Guards, Teachers, Aides, and Social Worker who accompanied our students during the visit.
- The Wallace Kitchen Staff for preparing and serving about 500 students within 40 minutes.
- Señor Efrain for ensuring we had enough supplies throughout the café, gym, and health room during lunch.
- The Office Staff for coordinating bus arrangements and covering every detail throughout the day.
- Security Guards for ensuring the well-being of our Wildcats.
- The 8th-grade homeroom teachers for preparing our students with their bus assignments and helping with securing their belongings.
- PE teachers for facilitating lunch in the gym and health room and assisting with student supervision.
- All the teachers who assisted in the auditorium, cafeteria, hallways, health room, and gym during lunch.
- Mrs. Finizio for overseeing the building in my absence.
I know this message has been lengthy, but I felt it crucial to express how immensely proud I am of our 8th grade Wildcats and our dedicated staff. I truly believe you will not find a Principal who is more honored to be, proud, and loves her students, staff, and families than me.
Thank you ALL for being as FANTABULOUS as you are!
Gracias,
Ms. Rosado

As part of our ongoing efforts to inspire and motivate our students, Mr. Brooks shared his powerful message of hope and determination with our students.
I was truly impressed by the exceptional behavior and engagement of our students throughout the event. They listened attentively to Mr. Brooks' words of wisdom and demonstrated respect and enthusiasm during the Q&A session, autograph session, and photo opportunities. It was wonderful to see our students take advantage of these opportunities to learn from someone who has achieved great success through hard work and perseverance.

The 8th Grade Accelerated ELA students have recently read the novel Night which follows Elie Wiesel in his journey through concentration camps during the Holocaust. After reading the students were tasked with determining what services, guidance and help someone like Elie may need if he were to acclimate into our community/school. As a part of the process in this project the students needed to interview professionals that could tell them about services within our schools and community. Our school social worker, Mr. Ortiz along with
Joceline Oritz, COO of County Programs/Special Projects
Erica Colon, Lead Promotora
Christian Rosado, DASH Specialist
Cataya Perez, Atlantic County Lead Promotora
Michele Mendibles, Peer Mentor
Andrea Nobles, Promotora/SAIL Instructor
(all staff of PRAC of SNJ)
visited both accelerated classes on Tuesday, November 12th. The students were able to interview all of these professionals to learn about different services available for someone like Elie and his family. The students will use this information to create presentations sharing these services and how they would help a student and their families. Thank you Mr. Ortiz for organizing the visit and thank you to ALL visitors for their help with this project.

Wallace School Pictures make-up picture day is scheduled for 12/03/2024.
The online banner, for this event, is provided below and the Flyer is provided digitally within the portal.
What to expect on picture day
Here is an overall review of what to expect.
Any student wishing to have a retake should bring their original picture package to exchange for the retake image.
When an order is placed online, the parent/guardian will receive a camera pass via email. This can either be printed or texted to the student and brought to picture day. The photographer will photograph the printed camera pass along with the student.
If a student is not able to print their camera pass, that is not a problem. We will match up the student to their order manually in the production process.
A parent may order from the flyer up until 24 hours after picture day. After 24 hours, the online ordering access may close. This will allow our imaging team to "Pull" all orders submitted and match them with the students photographed.
5. When pictures are returned to school, all students that purchased pictures will receive their prepaid package. Any student that was photographed but did not order a package, will receive a "Proof" (PX) of their picture that was taken on picture day.
All proof packages offer parents a second opportunity to order prints. All orders are subject to shipping and handling costs of up to $8.50 and will be shipped directly to home.
